Apocalyptic Review

Had the misfortune of seeing Mel Gibson's master piece Apocalyptic.

In one of his scenes the Hero is shot with an arrow that goes through his back and winds up with its point sticking out the front of his torso not far from his belly button. The movie goes on with the injured Hero running miles and miles to get away from his pursuers and then guess what ?he gets shot with an arrow which comes through his back to the left part of his chest sticking out(this is a second arrow) He has been running and running and running for about 20 or more minutes and jumps off a height into what looks like Niagara falls, swims great distances etc.I think Mel got it mixed up with Superman. The Clincher is Gibson shows the hero pursued by remaining two guys who are out to kill him, until they reach a beach where they see the Santa Maria, Pinto and the third ship of Columbus and forget about killing the hero but stand and watch the ships and men coming in small boats to shore while they hold their clubs in their hands mouths open.

Mel I think you were on something when you did this movie as no less, a Director and Producer. I guess Mr Gibson thinks all the world are morons and he is the only smart guy.

Any one knowing a little of Anatomy knows if an arrow penetrates the body as was depicted in this movie, the guy would be dead if not instantly, shortly thereafter, not run and OUT RUN A PANTHER AFTER BEING SHOT WITH SUCH AN ARROW. Mr Gibson you are what you are. A panther is known to have speeds greater than 35 to forty miles per hour. Can a human being shot with such an arrow as described above out run a panther?
The arrow would have cut major arteries going through that part of the body and perforated several important organs. The Second arrow would have gone through the largest vein in the human body and would have severed some rather large arteries and if on the left side of his chest as portrayed in the movie he would be dead. Both arrows would have gone through his lungs and the second through both lung and heart. MEL HE WOULD BE DEAD DEAD DEAD AND THE MOVIE WOULD END AS IT SHOULD HAVE IT SHOULD HAVE DIED IN THE CAN AND NEVER SEEN THE LIGHT OF DAY.

Mel Christopher Columbus did not quite land in Mexico on his first trip.Better clear your mind and read the elementary school history book about Columbus. It was the worst film in a long time. I could not even see it as an adventure story for kids. He talks about the Maya Civilization and portrays the era of the Aztecs. Gosh Mel, I didn't know your such a history buff.
