If all men followed his teachings this would be a better world.
Gee Wiz things aren't so bad. We still are a democracy where guys like me can sound off and not fear that some guy in a leather coat is going to lock me up without anyone knowing where I am or if I am alive. Yes we have made mistakes but after all all men be they presidents or ceo's are human with all the human failings. I have faith baby that we will come through it. I just feel that we must have a CIA trained in Arabic and Chinese. Intelligence gathering must be done by people we can trust (our own Americans who can be fluent in those languages. We need CIA personel who are willing to learn and be taught the differences of the various moslem faiths. It appears that some believe in death and that if they sacrifice their young they accomplish Gods Will. It is a corruption of the teaching of Mohammed. The best president is one who surrounds himself with plenty of brain power and can rely on good intelligence and informaition to make correct decisions. I fear that the Republican party will come to an end and we will enter a area close to being a communist state if the Clintons rule.
Hi: You echo the sentiments of all of us. I read your article about John Hopkins. I would not get discomboobulated over it. They are no great shakes. There was a film on T.V. about Blue Babies. It turned out that one of their leading lights was an alcoholic who had a black man as a lab assistant. It was this black man who found the way to "sew the hole" back so that infants born with this problem could live a normal life and have a pretty normal life expectency. In the end the University awarded this black man a doctorate. Isn't that great. All along they gave him no credit. He remained with John Hopkins training many young doctors in anatomy. They have nothing to brag about nor to cast stones at anyone.Have a happy and healthy holiday. Johnlance

Science is art. We tend to give them more credit than is due. The more I read the more I see that scientific findings written in stone were found to be totally incorrect. A true scientist continues to question. Yes we have some theories that have proven themselves such as gravity but there is a lot that is still unknown. As for global warming there is quite a body of good evidence that seems to indicate it is true. Anything coming from the Oil and Coal industries has to be looked at with a mindset of this is not unbiased information contradicting the evidence of global warming.
My goal is to be looking at the facts only without too much emotion and to avoid name calling downing those whose views differ from mine. They may be right and I wrong. I confess to being human. Yes some "liberals" have closed minds just like some " conservatives" but if you get reasoning intelligent men you can appeal to intellect and they may come around to see your point and even agree. It is very hard for anyone to admit they were wrong. Unfortunately this fact has caused us great problems as a country because those higher ups in the Law enforcement area have made great errors causing innocent men and women to be in prison and their judgments so corrupted as to result in actual loss of life (September 11, 2001) It is only when Congress got off its a s and enacted some law making all the agencies cooperate with each other that we have a partial solution to a long standing problem. Keep up the good work ancient 1.
The issue is not two "wrongs" making it right but I pointed out that all of us including myself are mortal beings who do make mistakes. It depends on the kind of mistake that is made that is important not the number. Yes Bush made a bad one but so did many of our presidents and generals as I pointed out. You read the blog with a pre conceived idea which unfortunately you are not alone in doing I do it too so sometimes it gets in the way of comprehending what the writer is saying to us. My philosophy in this life is simple: Judge not the man or woman but the acts he or she does. Nice hearing from you.
If any human being can say they made only one mistake it would be a blasphemy. Only God can make one mistake. I"m still trying to figure out which one. Creating man or the animals. Now for some serious stuff. We have had some very bad guys as President- Kennedy, Clinton and a few other womanizers who used the whitehouse as a whorehouse. That goes to their character but not their abilities. Clinton was a failure as a President and accomplished nothing. The only ones in our time that did accomplish a lot were 1) Roosevelt (Many of his projects such as TVA and others gave us the strength needed in WWII. Did he make mistakes? Gosh I would need sheets and sheets of paper to point them out. 2)Harry Truman, my kind of guy. He had the guts to do the right thing and stuck by his men in good time and bad. A True Leader. He accomplished the end of WWII saved a million of our guys by dropping the bomb on Japan. Japan was a country that had no soul and did the most horrible things in China, Korea and any other country they conquered. They think we were wrong.Huh. They never asked forgiveness for the many atrocities they committed on our boys (Battan Death March and others)3) Ike Eisenhauer great president and leader accomplished the interstate road system and backed the Civil Rights Movement. He tried always to do the right thing. Kept us peaceful as long as he could. Did not abuse his office and lent it the greatest respect it deserves. 4) Ronald Reagan. ended the power of the Russian Empire and left us with a mess. He will be known for that but only History will tell us how great were his accomplishments. He left the Office giving it more honor and respect, a sense of humor and wit which unfortunately did not carry over to the next guys. While Bush did invade Iraq and tried to democratize that part of the World he was really unprepared and lacked the knowledge to undertake such a task. His advisors were poor and refused to reach out to those who were well versed in that part of the World as to its people, religions, politics etc. He thought because of the Oil business he knew but he was mistaken. I feel that he went in totally unprepared to undertake this task. History will tell if his decision was an absolute blunder or did he accomplish anything.
I get the feeling from reading your blog and referenced site that you are Arab and Anti Semitic. You are to be pitied if that is so. This Jewish thing is really crazy. You believe in Islam and you do not know that your religion stems from the "Jews" along with all Christians of whatever denomination they are. An enlightened person can not sit and dwell in the feces of racism or antisemitism.
