I can't remember who said it but I do quote it. With the advent of WWII that quote came into question but this is the way one person (me) feels about it.
Right: We as a people must stand together and back our commander in chief even though he has made an error.
Wrong: Keep up the criticism so that the world out there loses respect for us as a Unified people.
Right: Democracy is a great thing for all peoples. It gives one opportunities. I am not naive to believe this generalization but on balance I'll take my country over all others in this world bar none. If we don't care for a president or other elected official we vote him or her out of office. We are free to voice out opinions and even though the media may be controlled there are enough of them out there to keep the balance.
Wrong: We don't have to impose our "Democracy" on all peoples. After all the Russians claim they are a "Democracy". They have a house of representatives and a constitution. But they are still a dictatorship without any true freedom such as we enjoy. There are countries in this world that want to live by religious law which in many cases is autocratic and far from a democratic form of government. If the people want that OK with me. If their leaders don't impose their faith on others and deal in the real world recognizing that all peoples are entitled to have their will as to how to be governed.
Right: Let us stop heaping epithets at each other and use personality to slander those running for office. Why not be on the right side, argue the issues that face all of us to make this a better place for all. We need people to work to solve problems not politicians who pander to self interest and who care not one wit for the problems of others.
