Where Were Revs Jackson&sharpton?

June 15, 2007 / by johnlance

Missing in action: Two Reverends Jackson and Sharpton. They did not attend the disciplinary proceedings brought against DA Nifong who resigned today. Its a joke they want to represent the American People. They are blind when it comes to false accusations made by a black pole dancer against innocent white boys. I don't see them cry out against this injustice. Why Jackson offered the poor girl a scholarship for her bravery in almost destroying three young men of Duke. Jackson has a weird sense of right and wrong.

They have the nerve to want to represent us? Can you imagine these two as the stand up guys where a Korean Person, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, White and any and all different peoples who might be unjustly accused of a crime by a Black person.? Don't you know it Black people can do no wrong only the rest of us.

In each instance where a Black person has done grievous wrong by false accusation against a white they both have either been silent or as Jackson did want to reward the wrong doer without even offering any apology to those who suffered the harm.

Imagine their audacity in saying they want to be lawmakers for Americans. Can you see any scintilla of evidence that they know whats right and whats wrong?

[SAD] It's sd that we in America have come to this. I agree that neither Jackson nor Sharpton are the best examples of what is good in America. But why should we highlight the fact that they were "innocent White Boys". How about just saying they were "innocent".

Jackson and Sharpton cause their share of trouble, but at the same time we are not that far removed from the time where blacks could be jailed and or killed for the simpliest thing, and justice was never served. Each year we hear of a new "Cold Case" of Jim Crow Justice being overturned.

So let's condemn Jackson and Sharpton, and rightly so...but let's not forget that their are plenty of injustices out there, why not try to undo them all.

Your right I should not have stooped to their level by using the reference "white boys" I am glad you corrected me. It's difficult to keep cool when it comes to Jackson and Sharpton who parade as men of the cloth and make such a poor showing or model for it. Yes of course there is a lot to be done in the area of discrimination but it does no good to emulate these two. I regard Bishop TUTU as a model of a good man one that presents his faith as one expects.

[THUMBUP] Bishop TUTU is an excellent example. There is one other point that I think needs to be addressed. The last time I checked neither Jackson or Sharpton has ever been elected to anything in their careers. As a matter of fact Jackson lost a run for high office in the NAACP as well as a Shadow Senate run for the District of Columbia, both with majority "Black" voters.

These guys don't represent Black America, and only get their credence from the white media (Liberal). During the Imus issue a lot of blacks spoke out against both of them, but they got little media attention.

Right on. Seems we see things eye to eye. [THUMBUP]
